Hello all! just joined and am excited to be a part of the community. I have a 2010 E63 as the title suggests and don't know how to tell if it has the performance pack or P30 package. All of the VIN decoders i used didnt say and other than me taking it on the highway and seeing if the limiter stops me at 155mph I'm not sure how else to figure it out. Any suggestions?
If you are able, put the car in neutral and lift the rear end of the car and then spin one of the rear wheels. If the opposite rear wheel spins the same direction you have the LSD which is part of the P30 (performance) package. If the opposite wheel spins the opposite direction, you do not have it.
For WIW, I had a 2011 without the P30 and with fairly inexpensive tune from Eurocharged I had the same horsepower as the the P30. I never really felt I was missing out on much without having the LSD. However, you can always buy a Quaiffe (spelling) aftermarket LSD and have it installed for a total of less than ~$2500.
