Took delivery from out of town for a 2016 Estate and the engine star is filthy. Looks like maybe engine oil spilled on star. Anyone have experience cleaning?

This is a common issue. Not engine oil. Plating issue on the mesh. There are guys replacing them with wheel center stars in other threads. If you dig a little you will find the threads. Good luck!

I cant remember what my M156 builder was, and I dont remember seeing a name placard on my 2000 E55. I believe the signature plates started after the W210’s.

My M157 was built by Melissa Yalin...so female AND eastern european (I'm assuming). AMG appears to be a very international operation.

You have the female builder! Somewhere in one of my older threads that touched on this same topic there was an article talking about the builders and that there was ONE female tech certified for AMG. Must be Melissa.

In all seriousness, I find women to be much more detail oriented and responsible than men. When you also factor in the passion/desire necessary to be a successful female in that world, I'm pretty sure I have the best AMG builder of all.
