Wagon Pricing
Hey guys,
I'm kicking myself on this, but this car was priced at like 54 and change a few months back and thought it was attractive but just a bit too much for what I was looking for and now it's 49.998....What's the catch with this? I understand it's base/minimal options and imported from Canada but for the price think it's a good deal...

Too late now as I already purchased something locally I couldn't deny for the price.

I don't think you need to lose much sleep over "missing" this deal. I've read that cars out of Quebec are notorious for having serious rust issues (due to the harsh salts used for the winters) and is a black hole for serious issues and accident history. That's part of the reason of why cars out of Quebec are priced noticeably lower than normal--it's high risk. Also, the fact that it has had 5 owners with lots of super short periods of ownership is a huge red flag.

Makes since I guess now, yeah never purchased a car imported, also the ownership as mentioned, was worried about fictitious or omitted history on car as well.

As an example I've seen the following being sold as CPO in Quebec;
'16 E63 being sold with CPO after having a full frontal accident
'15 E63 being qualified for CPO after having been tracked, bent rim, non-oem aftermarket windshield.
There's always a reason why cars from quebec are priced 10% lower. As wagonne said, it's about risk. Also the roads and potholes in quebec are absolute crap.

This car has been online for at least a year now, I considered it when I was in the buying process summer last year... Good wagons don't sit for sale, they sell before the images even get uploaded, so I'd be especially suspicious of this one.

Agreed, tried to buy wife a loaded MDX from there a couple years ago that was like 2,000 cheaper than anywhere else, and didn't end up buying the car and wasn't the best experience.
