How does the 4Matic performs in winter?
Hello, I'm from Canada and in the market for an E63. Anyone has experiences from northern states/ Canada snow storm in the winter?

With snow tires it performs really well; I have Uhp all seasons and it still does well

You will be just fine with a set of winter tires.
We drive our 2015 E63s 4matic in the winter (Nokian Hakka R2) with no issues. It does great in the snow/ice in the city and on the highway. It has a rearward bias, and you can oversteer if you want, but with TC on the car handles quite nicely.
For traction it is not as nice as a AWD system like on our Subaru, but it does great. The Subaru can put more power to the front drive axle than the E63, but unless the conditions are virtually ice, or hard packed snow the limitations of the E63 4matic will not be noticed.
FWIW i drove my C63 with winter tires for 2 winters and no issues at all. I made it up hills that other AWD vehicles with all-seasons could not get up.

As for most AWD vehicles, the W212 4matic does just fine in the winter. Just remember it's ultimately rubber on ice/snow regardless of your set up. I too run All Season's for winter in NY and it's fine.

The w212 E-Classes 4matic and the E63 AMG 4matic are a bit different. Depending on levels of snow. In about 4-8" of snow heavy throttle will make the back end kick out so be aware. It does make for some fun snow drifts if you don't mind hooning on snow days 😆 outside of that, it feels completely reliable for an A to B vehicle.
