2014 e63 s AMG wagon
x pipe or not?

Hi guys. I just had electronic cutouts installed ahead of my mufflers on my 14 e63s wagon. I was hoping it would be quite a bit louder with the cutouts open but it didn’t do much.

IF I have an x pipe put in place of my factory resonator I have two questions:
(1) will this affect power negatively?
(2) With my cutouts closed (sound routed through mufflers) how much louder will the car be? (Mostly worried about drone)

I have listened to videos and found limited info on forums. Thanks for your input!

Down pipes will give power and sound. The catback section does not do much. X pipe and resonator delete will change the sound some but if you want cut out sound, then go down pipes.
