Just wondering if anyone had a good recommendation for service people in the Charlotte, NC area.

I have used Eurowise in September, but their main MB tech who is a wiz went to another indy. I trusted him to do my headbolts on my M156.
Nick at Eurotech is also a very experienced MB tech who I have used on a couple of jobs.

I do most of my repairs myself, but would certainly recommend Nick at Eurotech.

I would look into GMP and Eurofed first and see if they have any experienced techs. I feel Eurofed may be a better bet with service and GMP with tuning needs but this is 3rd hand as I live about 2 hours away so haven't used either and only hear from others.
