Amazing that the transmission limits putting down the power.
The curse of too much power
AWD
All that TQ and HP and only a 1.8 60 foot time. Completely unrelated, but I remember cutting sub 1.8 sec 60' times in my RX-7 (with Nitto drag radials if people remember when those came out). But 2950lbs with driver and manual transmission is very different than the E63s.
Regardless, it is impressive to see a 4 door luxury sedan rocket off the line
Curious to know if they could just tune HP/TQ limits for the gears which can be done.
There must be a sweet spot where the transmission is letting you put it all done, and then when in the higher gears allow 'max power'.

Yeah that Typhoon was moving, that's for sure.
This was the first pass at the track with:
- ESP in Sport
- Trans in S+
- Stalled up with foot on brake & accelerator
The following couple passes I tried using Launch Control+ESP Off+Manual combination which just wheelspin then the car bogged down. Next was setup in dyno mode & pre-stage burnout. The tree fell and i just broke out in a 50 metre power skid - put it to bed after that.
Some ET Streets or better yet slicks would have been ideal.

But on the flip side the locking diff and power to the rears has it's perks on the back roads

No need to be envious, just get the right wheel/tire combo. I cut high 1.6s in my RWD E63. You do that and you’ll be running 11.2s.
