Max Tire Size

I purchased my ‘14 e63 wagon a few weeks ago and was hoping to wait until spring to put new tires on it but with a slow leak in one tire I’m going to buy new tires now. Question is how wide can can I go? Currently have 285 30 19 on rear and 255 35 19 on front on stock wheels.
Can I go any wider without rubbing?

265 F and 305 R positively w/o rubbing (profile depending on wheel size); obviously 305 NOT on stock wheel. I believe someone on here tried 275's on 10s square successfully on a sedan.

Exactly what he said. I have those exact sizes on new BC Forged wheels. The 265's in the front do occasionally rub for just a second on the inside fender covers but not an issue. Only when really going fast and hitting BS bumps in the roadway. Offsets are +35 in front and +50 on the rear as I recall. If my memory is off I will correct this later. Ironically the installers thought the the 305's on the rear might rub. But not one time so far.

Hey, Vrod!
Did you ever break down and lower your car? Mine never made contact on the inside fender liner when I was at stock ride height with 275/35/19's up front. I have always ran a 3mm spacer up front to make sure I clear the strut.
