Cam Sensor Code and many others...
I have a 2013 E63 with the AMG Performance Package - approximately 60k miles
A few days ago I was driving along just fine when the car lost power. I could floor the pedal and the engine wouldn't rev. Luckily there was a gas station to pull in to before the next traffic light. I pulled in and parked, turned the car off, waited a few minutes and attempted to start it with the hopes that it was a computer malfunction. The car cranked a couple of times and started with an extremely rough idle, and sounded terrible. I had it towed home, and was able to start it to get it in the driveway. I ran the OBD codes and this is what I retrieved in order (note: I did clear the codes, restart the vehicle and they re-appeared so these aren't old stored codes).
P0343, P0368, P0300, P0301, P0302, P0303, P0087
So the 343 and 368 are Cam circuits, the 300-303 are engine misfire, and the 087 is fuel system/rail. I am hopeful that one of the cam sensors failed resulting in multiple cylinder misfire as the sensor(s) are not sending the appropriate info to the ECM resulting in the fuel delivery being restricted by the ECM.
Has anyone had this issue? Or any insight?
I have had a hard time searching for any info on this. I have run across a few people with timing chain issues, and complete engine failures.
