M156 Oil Leak - Where’s this coming from?

I had an oil leak that looked like yours and caused by a small crack in the valve cover that let a very very small amount oil through. over time it looked like your's. Mine was replaced a few years ago under warranty.

You should be able to find the leak without taking anything off but the maybe the plastic cover on front of engine. Clean engine well then look for a leak after the engine runs for a while and you should be able to trace the source.

I spent quite a bit of time with it tonight. After taking the front engine cover and passenger side intake off, it seemed completely dry all around the right valve cover. Cleaned it all off thoroughly from underneath and drove it, but no oil appeared yet after the one drive. I’ll keep watching it. Thanks.
