Tyre pressure monitor inoperative.

The beginning of the year I bought another set of rear wheels with tyres on Michelin PS2's. I've just changed the rear wheels I've as the pirellis on my original rims were like slicks.

I got in the car and it's thrown up tyre pressure monitor inoperative. After a search I'm guessing my car is synched with the TPMS in my old rear wheels.

If the new rims have TPMS in them is there a way of synching them to the car?

Or is it throwing the error because there isn't any in the new wheels I've put on?

Here's a picture I can't decide which I actually prefer....

Thanks

I far prefer the front OEM rims with silver lip.

The above is irrelevant / not useful. Do you have the appropriate / required sensors in each wheel? If not, that's your problem.

As for aesthetic preference, I side with the above members.
As for your TPMS inquiry, there could be various explanations. No sensors, Dead batteries in the sensors, sensors that are incompatible (which I doubt if they came from an MB owner). There is a lot of different types of sensors and information floating around on the internet. Some people say you have to get them programmed or synced. But, if you bought those rear wheels used (wheels and tires as you have mounted them on your car) I am gonna bet that you just straight up don't have sensors (what are the chances that BOTH sensors ran outta batteries at the same time). You should go to a tire shop that has a detector and have them scan these wheels to see if there are sensors.
When I got my summer wheels, I used these https://www.tpms.com/2014_Mercedes_B...0_E_s/6346.htm Plug and play.

Ill be having the tyres changed this week when they arrive, I'll be sticking with the OEM look wheels as I don't have a front set like the rears.
