Noisy Dash

Hey Guys,

I've been noticing that my dash or the bezel above the radio has an annoying rattle of plastics rubbing? I've noticed that it stops when i place my hand on it.. so is there a way i can deaden the sound? Any solutions to this?

Funny you mention this- I just spent 30 mins at lunch trying to locate the exact location....almost like a light buzzing rattle. I thought whacking the dash would shift whatever was rattling to stop but I'm crying no joy...annoying as hell to me.

Does it stop when you press against the very corner of the wood or carbon trim between the Stereo and the steering wheel? (Right above the ignition key). Mine was exactly as described here, I isolated it to the led for the ambient lighting strip - it coming loose from the housing. Glued the led holder in place and rattle went away.

Turn the radio up louder, problem solved.

I have an annoying buzz/rattle coming from the seat belt height adjuster, I figured 600HP tends to induce these sorts of things.

Rattle between the navigation screen and dash is eliminated by removing the two screws connecting it to dash and placing black stick on felt strips between all contact areas. Retighten screws firmly and the rattle should be gone. This fixed that annoying plastic creak/rattle on my 2016 CL63S.

The seatbelt adjuster plastic pieces also both rattled. I fixed that by carefully placing stick on black felt strips between the two sliding surfaces, out of sight. I don’t adjust my seatbelt height anyway.

The car is so much nicer to drive again, I didn’t even want to drive it with the rattles. Good luck, fixing those noises is worth the effort.
