Got the following two exhaust solutions I'm debating on which one would be better for my 2014 E63.
FI Exhaust: $6,300
Complete Catback FI Exhaust system including Mid X-Pipe, Valvetronic Mufflers, Quad Silver Tips and Remote Control System Module
FI Exhaust Ultra High Flow Downpipes
Weistec: $4,000

Anyone have practical experience with either brand?
Much appreciated!

The Weistec power numbers must be comparing stock to tune + downpipes, and not just comparing to untuned + downpipes.
What is most important to you in an exhaust upgrade? Are you looking for the sound, and extra power is just a minor bonus? Or are you thinking this is the first step in upgrades for power?

Save your money and get downpipes and resonator replaced with H pipe. You won’t regret it.

Agreed. $4-6K for a sound mod is not the best route here. You can achieve the same end goal with DPs for a lot less- I think your plan of attack here should be: DP> Resonator> Exhaust > Valved Cutouts.Originally Posted by SAMzE63s

I did the Weistec modular pipes and am on a Renntech tune and sound is perfect- meaning, everyday cruising is bold and people know there's something there with the spool sounds and low grumble and most importantly you're not pissing off the neighborhood at low RPM. But on WOT, it is turning all heads on the highway- great V8 roar and some snarl and pops when letting off.
If you are still dissatisfied and want even louder, you can attack the resonator. And if that is still too tame (having all the people around you pissy with the noise), then you attack the mufflers.

I would advise against FI anything. They are manufactured in Taiwan and are more marketing than substance. The materials are inferior and will not last over time. Source: my childhood best friend runs a car club based out of Taipei and knows the owner of FI.
