Can you swap all components from an e63 to an e350 making a full conversion possible ? From 4matic e63 to 4matic e350 ... thanks.

The question will always be price - anything can be done with enough money put into it. I am assuming you have an E350 and sourced a wrecked E63? Once modded, it will also be a "stock" E63 (I say that loosely), and there are plenty of people who modify the stock E63 as is. Unless you are in a country with very high vehicle prices (and/or taxes), the conversion generally does not make financial sense.

The other consideration is that, at the end of the day, the resale for the converted car will still be based on an E350 VIN - so you will not get money back for the labor and modifications put into the car for the conversion.

If you do end up proceeding, please post a full progress thread - those are usually a lot of fun to read and very engaging. Sometimes you can actually learn something new about the "upgraded" (E63 in this instance) platform that ends up helping those who had that equipment from the factory. Best of luck!

Just drive the non-wrecked E63 if you want a E63. If it's because the E63 isn't the right color, paint it... it'll be cheaper than swapping everything over to make the same car, but a different color.

This doesn't make any sense. Gut a perfectly working e63 to make a poser e350?

I have a better idea!

Debadge both cars and put the E350 badges on the E63.

Problem solved.

I sat here and read this thread 5 times to make sure I was reading it correctly.

Then I typed and deleted things for 15 minutes.

....like.... What? I'm just going to go back to sleep and start my day over.

It only makes sense if the e63 is either "grey market" where op lives or stolen.

yes, it can be done. Ill assess it for you. I have the only conversion kit in existence. However it requires you the sign the title of the E63 to me in order for me to unlock the E350 conversion kit. PM for details. No problem

Out of curiosity what makes it so expensive? I found a wrecked one that starts low milage salvage car. Same years both are 2014. None of the airbags deployed would need a new rear end and drive shaft. But theoretically everything else would be amg. Am I missing something? I would be doing all the labor as I figure it all should just swap out. Haven't done on a Benz but why not?

That's great... But I am Not trying to change the body though. I was talking drive train and electronics. Body will stay e350 most likely. They sell body kits if that is all I wanted. Not trying to be a smart ***. Was hoping for useful info. Maybe someone can tell me what the differences are as far as drive train goes. Less motor and trans. And will the AMG stuff bolt to my e350. Like front suspension is there a difference in rear ends?

Yes they do. So is it as easy as pulling drivetrain and electronics and swapping them over? I would be taking interior and swapping it out as controls are different and computers and wiring. Is there a better group with more info that I could join? This is my 3rd bens. First e class. Other 2 were s class and didn't do anything to them except adding a compressor and controls to airride on 2001.
