o2 spacers that work
i got my catless pipes installed and put spacers with mini cats in them and it didn't work. wanted to try a different product that members have had luck with . Thanks

I have catless downpipes and a tune and failed inspection yesterday. I have several "Not Ready" and "Not Supported" items on my OBD II Readiness.
I'm also very interested in finding a way to mark everything "Ready" so I may be able to pass state inspection.
Thanks in advance,

I know some of the guys that don't have a tune and are catless have used spacers without problems , but i just need to find out which ones . good luck . hopefully someone will give us some advise

Yeah, I see lots of old threads where people praise them, but no one can tell me which spacers and or which inserts that they used.
greasycajun: you are probably tuned for catless, where they turn off the monitors for rear O2 sensors. You'll see at least 3 "Not Ready" codes. that just forces the computer to ignore them. If you need to pass emissions, you never will, at least not here in TX. We can only have 1 not ready and pass, and that doesn't help any at all if you have more than one cylinder bank. To be able to pass, you'll have to change your tune to a non-catless tune and put on your/some cats. drive it till monitors are all passing and then get it inspected, just before changing everything back to catless. Hope you have you stock exhaust still

FOUND MY 2 CODES ARE P0054 AND P0060 . THAT MEANS THAT THE MINI CATS ARE WORKING BECAUSE NO P0420 AND P0430. HAVE TO FIGURE OUT THE HEATER CIRCUIT THING THOUGH. I AM USING STRAIGHT SPACERS THAT ARE ABOUT 1 1/4 " LONG. HELP !

those mean the rear O2 sensor heater circuit is not functioning. Possible the sensors were damaged when removing/installing them? I know the plugs are hard to get to...maybe someone unscrewed them without unplugging them?

Thanks in advance,
1. Have to upload your OEM tune and pray to the Gods you can get your car through a cycle (which sets the monitors to "ready") without tripping a CEL (unlikely)
2. Go back to full stock (reinstall catted downpipes and OEM tune) for the inspection and then go back to tune / catless.
3. Contact your tuner and get an updated tune that does NOT disable the o2's so they can set to ready. Then either get spacers or install OEM downpipes for inspection and then put the aftermarkets back in.
OP -- are you sure your car isn't tuned?

do the o2 sensors stay powered when the key is off ? i don't understand how not unplugging them would hurt them. If it was just one side then possible . I don't know. could the ground not be great? strange the spacers are stainless so if it grounds thru the exhaust . Im just spit balling. So this code is an electrical failure with the sensors or the sensors not heating up enough from being out of the exhaust stream? confused !!!

No, previous owner said no. its fast but not crazy fast. I had no codes at all with my stock catted pipes. Only change since then was gutted stock downpipes and 1 1/2 " mini cat o2 spacers.

Does any one know if our secondary o2 sensor tips are short or long. considering trying a large spark plug defouler spacer on the o2 port to help get the sensor closer to heat. Thanks

Well , I haven't been able to get any o2 spacer to work without either an o2 heater code or a cat code to come on. I have tried reaching out to members that have had success , but no body would respond. I guess the only way to actually get the light to stay out is a tune. I was hoping I wouldn't have to do that because of cost factors. Last call for any help on this issue. Thanks

You live in Delaware, right? Even if you do get the light to turn off, you will still fail the emissions test for 'not ready' codes. You'll have to install catalysts to pass, sorry.
On a second note, I think we've established that spacers don't work as well, seeing as all the people who have had "success" have gone suspiciously quiet...

Well I can’t say for certain as I found a post from previous owner saying the car had a Eurocharged tune, but in talking to EC about ownership transfer they said they have no records of my VIN. Also the car feels stock and it seems to be at stock level from the cars I’ved raced. I will be putting it on the dyno in a few weeks.

That's crazy. You know, Iv'e never been able to confirm this, but I heard that if the monitors are good from having the stock exhaust in place, and you go catless without clearing and resetting the monitors that they will stay good and not throw a code because they will not re-run the test since it is already "complete". Would be interesting to find out if that is true. Have you ever done a code clearing or batter/ecu reset since you have owned the car?

I should be so lucky. Im going to try using header wrap around the sensor and the downpipe to try and keep the heat in. The mini cat spacers are working for the p0420 and p0430 codes, just not the p0054 and p0060 heater voltage not met

ah, now were getting somewhere...wrapping might just do it. Keep us informed
