Hi, I have a 2016 e63 S 4matic and wondered if an IC or heat exchanger upgrade were beneficial and if so, would I need to buy 2 of them?

AMS has one on their website but it makes no mention of having to buy 2 of them. DTK has some too, but he is in Georgia (Eastern Europe) and I'm unsure if those are for S model.

It's not really necessary even if you're tuned like me. The 2013+ e63's have a split cooling system that is very efficient

 

Would it help to gut the Downpipes or buy a set from Red Star?

I kind of figured AMG updated the cooling system, but there are lots of aftermarket cooling products out there and I was unsure which were good/bad.

Agreed. I once spent a day with one of the most famous AMG tuners in the US. He told me not to both with a cooking upgrade unless I was getting a turbo upgrade and racing it in Dubai in the summer
