Motor mount suggestions...

Looking to replace motor mounts. Seems ECE is out of stock and won’t be back in stock for the foreseeable future (other projects they’re working on). I did watch one c63 owner who complained about some rattles after they installed and I definitely don’t want that. I think living in a climate that can go from 0f to 100f during the year may reek havoc with polyurethane but I could be wrong. I then found suggestions for the Black Series but not sure they fit on the w212. Are there others or am I limited to stock engine mounts? Thanks in advance for the suggestions.

2014 E63S; AMS 100 octane ecu tune; edok tcu tune; BB intakes; dyno tuned
Just do stock OEM mounts -- best ride quality and yes if you're launching hard they'll wear out sooner but so what

That’s what I’ll do. Might as well replace transmission mount while I’m in there.

To be fair it's a 15 hour job and the stock mounts seem to be a disposable item vs the ECE mounts being more durable.

Is that book or straight time...

I thought it was more like a 4-6 hour job. The challenge with the ece is they aren’t available and may not be again for a while. Which seems kind of crazy to me but it is what it is.

I too prefer the stock engine mounts, that smooth steering wheel feel! The cradle has to come down if you have AWD.

For the RWD models, yes. For the AWD ones you have to remove the steering rack, exhaust, and a turbo. And sorry, I was going off the top of my head when I said 15. Book labor is 12.5 hours.

Yes, unfortunately ECE doesn't make the RWD mounts any more, just the AWD ones. But for RWD, yes, I would go with the stockers.

Sucks they don't work with the Weistec Brackets

I guess...I'm not one to spend that kind of money for such a minimal gain[$4k for MAYBE 40 hp/tq?!?], so I wouldn't be using the Weistec brackets anyway. No big loss here... There are much better gains to be made for far less credits.
