If you are looking for a significant change in exhaust sound or something louder this is not for you. Doing this I feel gives a slightly different lower rpm sound...maybe slightly tinnier, but other than that it’s very hard to tell the difference IMO. A lot of work for a little change is basically what I’m getting at.
Personally what I would do which would allow the mufflers to be left stock is cut the mufflers off, and have two straight pipes bent to fit. Get two sleeve clamps and you can easily go from stock to straight pipes with ease. I did this on my Jeep SRT and it allowed me to switch in about 30 minutes. And I actually did go back and forth a few times to suit my needs lol. It’s nice because on the E63 you don’t have to do with exhaust tips since they are just integrated in the bumper.
