Hello, I took my 2005 E500 W212 into a Mercedes dealer and had a very difficult experience receiving little information so wanted to check here. I asked for the diagnostics report, and the current/stored events are noted below. The primary problem I brought it in for was 2 (now 3) instances of the car not driving. The first two I was not present for but today upon putting the car into reverse, it wouldn't go (electrical still working). RPM goes very high and to get it home, I had to drive slowly to avoid another shut down...at times would seem transmission was slipping. I was repeatedly told I needed a new (and very expensive) transmission. Is there any other information attainable from this information?
I don't have much experience, so anything is appreciated, hopefully in simple terms. Thank you!
