Tunes and Elevation
I currently live in Houston Texas, i.e. at sea level. I am currently exploring some career changes, one of which would take me to Denver.
I currently have a Eurocharged stage 2 flex fuel tune (I can run anything fro 91 octane to E60). The high-level questions that are coming to mind are:
1. Do I need to retune for the altitude?
2. How good are the turbos on the car for adjusting to altitude due to the lack of O2?
3. I am guessing that I will likely loose about 1% of power (give or take) for each 1000 foot gain in elevation. Would a black boost intake offset most of that by allowing more air flow?
4. Anyone running an ethanol tune in denver? What types of performance are you seeing (0-60, etc.)?
Anything else I should think about?
