Everyone else: Drag racing! Me:
Cone dodging with a 4900lb car. 100% stock except the stealth hitch add-on and some Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 tires.
Was not competitive, at all.
1st place in class (BS) was a Camaro. It destroyed me by a good 1.7s, but I took 2nd out of 5 drivers.

Autocross is fun, but most courses are setup for a miatas, BZRs etc to dominate.
Even my 355 gets whooped, for some reason, they put it in the SS class.
Never even considered the e63 for autoX, I'll likely try it on the road course.

Need to ‘broaden’ your horizons. 
track days in my e63s at Road America, I’m running right with C7 Z06 corvettes. Only weakness was the brake heat but I’m on carbon ceramics now so looking forward to getting this car going.

Yeah, Road America looks like it's tough on brakes, so no wonder why you experienced some brake fade.
Brakes are easily the weakest link for tracking a E63S, especially a wagon. They work great for two laps, but then you get to work on bring the brake temps back down.
