Tire plugging
Hi guys, I’ve been loosing about 5 psi every week so checked my tire and of course a nail. It is a somewhat larger nail,
can this be patched or do I need a new tire? Everytime this has happened to me it was super small.

Depends on where in the tread the nail is located.

Plug and patch would suffice.

Have had 'larger' nails/screws plugged and patched and just plugged with zero issues.

If I was taking the car to the track I would personally replace the tire.

It’s just a cruiser I don’t track it. It’s in the patchable area just didn’t know if it’s too big too patch.

Discount tire patches it for free. You can take it there and ask them if it’s patchwble

It should be patchable, just make sure to get it patched the correct way and it should outlast the tire.
