I don’t know if the spacers work .ive never seen any data, Maybe they do maybe they don’t. But let’s circle back to your comment about costing $400 and selling them for 1400. filters that are around the same size either k&n , afe, green filters go for 40-$100 for one filter. These have 2 high quality filters . Second. So people will spend 220+ for 1” width 2 mm thick low quality grade aluminum spacers . But think 1,400 for 2 huge aluminum boxes that are tig welded by someone , powder coated, with high quality rubber seals that actually seals perfectly to the hood and still retain factory intake ram air . Actually reduces wgdc. Adds an easy 30hp some times more depending on tune and bolt ons. With a custom aluminum stamped name plate with your name on it. You think that’s a lot?? . . Anyway this is not at all negative to vrp or any spacers. I really don’t know if they work I’ve never had them . This is just to the comment about 1400 being to much for something that actually has some engineering in it . That’s why companies are starting to come out and copy it .

Maybe their quality slipped over time. I bought mine about 2-1/2 years ago and everything was fine except I hated the red color. So I had the anodize chemically stripped and replated with black anodize.
I have long since moved on to Black Boost intakes but still have the full UPD kit with all bits and as good as new green filters. The black was to draw less attention to them at the dealer.
As I recall the rubber sides of the green filters serve as functional seals Bill. Don’t recall needing additional gaskets.
If anyone is interested in my kit, PM me. Sell it for roughly 1/2 price of new and the $100 extra I paid to make them black is free.
