What's the process of using third-party warranty for repairs done by dealers

I'm thinking to buy the Fidelity Platinum warranty (they seem to have a high reputation from my search of the past posts) but wonder if anyone know what's the process to order a repair in my MB dealer? Do MB dealers usually directly work with them and take care of everything (i.e. the claim)? Or I need to get a list of repairs first, get Fidelity's approval, and then proceed with the repair? Just want to figure out how much hassle it is to use Fidelity with my MB dealer.

I advise my customers to give a call beforehand, just to give the heads up on which dealer and who to expect contact from. The dealer finds what is wrong, the tech calls the claims department, makes sure components are covered or not, dealer should then call you and give you a review of what is broken and if the compnents are covered or not, ideally everything is covered, and they let you know when to expect your vehicle back, very simple. Fidelity tends to be more expensive than the policies issue, for identical coverage, but is the only other company I feel safe with forum members as far as accepting claims. Text or call me at 602-909-9216 or email me at tgibson@highline-autos.com to see if I can beat their price for you.

I have Fidelity Platinum warranty when I purchased my 2014 E63 amg. My dealership offered it to me when purchasing extended warranty. it looks like my dealership has no issue working with them. I used my warranty several times and every time, my dealership just handles everything. I just paid my deductible and my dealership service manager handles all the paper works.

Fidelity and Freedom Warranty are the only warranty companies I would suggest to fellow MB Forum members, same process for each, I'm glad to hear you'll be saving thousands!

Curious, how much are the deductibles typically? Does it vary on repair amount and service performed, etc.

These care pretty reliable and since I don't drive my Wagen often and with 39K miles, I opted for 5/60K with $250 ded for $4900

Deductibles do not vary, you pay to the amount agreed upon on the contract. Fidelity is typically $250, Freedom Warranty $100.
