Use stock cat from different m157?
2014 e63s has a p0420 code and everywhere I took it said the right cat needs to be replaced.
I found a set of used OEM down pipes from a 2012 e63 and a 2015 ML63. Both around $1k
I wanted cut off my cat and weld the replacement. Should be good right?
alternative is to pay $2k at dealer or buy a new one from Mercedes Akron for 1400 shipped and have it installed. Mercedes Akron sells is 32% cheaper than my local dealership.

Feels like thered be no real gain from down pipes with cats. And I don’t want to smell fumes inside the car
