weird upshift behavior?
tell me if this is something you car does.
driving at steady commuting speed, pressing the accel pedal enough to maintain that speed. you want to switch lanes and go a little faster. so you press the pedal a bit more. ( small amount more, we are not racing traffic )
the transmission instead of holding the gear, upshifts. like.. why?
is this normal behavior?

reset your tcu and let it re learn your driving pattern again
sounds like it's just ready to upshift to optimize fuel, I'm pretty sure this only happens in comfort in my car

okay, true, will reset tcu when I get home and see what happens tomorrow. I guess I will have to wait a few days for the learning to complete.
tcu learning is for all modes I suppose, there is no learning in each mode? that would be like too cool.
Problem is that my commute involves some bumper traffic on the return.. you cant learn to be "sporty" like that.

but that is because you are a man! ... I am a 80 year old trapped in the body of a 40 year old.
yet.. in bumper to bumper traffic in S or S+ it upshifts to 2nd just about when I have to brake again.. so I just rather C and have it at 2nd all the time.

I have a ec tcu tune and mine in comfort mode holds gears up hill or when trying to accelerate. I also drive it hard in comfort when I'm having fun alone lol.. I too sit in traffic for about 25miles a day
