Alignment issues? Aftermarket?
Okay -
2014 W212 E63S Wagon, Facelift
Recently I replaced the 'Cross Strut' component on my wagon on the driver side as they fail. After replacing, it was obvious my alignment was completely fubar. I took it to a Firestone that i have a hookup at (Free) and they were able to get the car CLOSE but not entirely there...
Now I called up the dealer, and got a price on the alignment, and of course its made out of magical German pixi dust that only their knuckle draggers can perform so it costs an absurd cost for an alignment. I digress. Is there a good alignment aftermarket kit I can get that will allow a normal shop like, say, a firestone that i can get service at for free, and even if i can't they offer lifetime alignments for ~190, and the roads in the north east may as well be the lunar landing site, so I'll need another.
If it's like my old w211 E55 was, you could buy 'crash bolts' that would go in different sides of the lower control arm bolt hole and allow for more camber adjustment. Not sure if the w212 has these but I'd look into that first. There are benefits of the road force alignments the dealers do, but I agree they are very expensive and for the frequency you may need them it might be wasted money, especially since all of your other numbers are in spec.
I made an DIY e63 alignment video om my YT channel using crash bolts. I also found that you could significantly effect the camber depending on how you tightened the strut to knuckle bolts.. like 1.5 degrees worth.
Other option is kmac which worked great on my e55
