2018 gle 63s coupe P06DA code
Putting this here too, more m157 guys over here.
So they have had my car at the dealer for over a month. They had a couple of regular service items to deal with and a complete dash replacement ( can't even imagine what that cost? ) warrantied. Anyways, car was there about a week and they were just wrapping it up when it popped a code for P06DA - Unknown Diagnostic Trouble Code.
So the last 3 weeks they have removed the engine from the car, removed the oil pan an replaced the oil pump control valve that this code is typically thrown for. So they get it all back together and the radiator started leaking, I'm guessing they hit it on engine removal or reinstall. So they put in a new radiator into the car, again under warranty. Got it all back together and the same code pops up..... At this point they think it could be an ECU problem not sure. Waiting on the engineers are the PTSS department at Mercedes to tell them what to do now. As they are all scratching their heads at the dealer.
Has anyone had this code and trouble getting it fixed?
As far as what I've read, things point to either 3 things. An ECU problem, a wiring harness problem or actually I have read about random misfires from coils also throwing this code. The car has 45,000 miles on it. It has the CPO warranty until March of 2023 and the Mercedes ELW until March 2025.
Just from knowing about the M157 engine in my 2013 E63, the coils are a red flag at 45,000 miles. Car is 100% stock.
Anyone out there been down this road?
Thanks
