Found a 2014 E63 wagon with just over 40,000 miles. AWD, S-Model, premium package 1, m-brace2 (which I do not know what this is). Asking around $60k US. Fair? What else do I need to look for when inspecting this car? I want to take it to the MB dealer for a complete inspection. Four owners and driven in salt I believe.

This one is a 2016 mint condition in Orlando. I know the seller personally.

check out the sticky on this forum re: common issues
If all things equal, I would rather buy a 2016 even if I have to pay a little bit more
Yep; several software updates and apple play compatible; better infotainment ... newer hoses and seals means less likely to leak oil and need replacement ... newer airmatic components for same reason
Apologies as I did not state that I am looking for a wagon. Yeah, I'm one of those guys. I already have a 2014 CTS-V wagon and love it. I like to haul things - like stuff for my cabin and a large dog. I also like to haul butt, and these are tremendous machines for all the above!
Back when I was searching for mine I had to eventually decide to settle for any color, and give up holding out for carbon brakes and interior/exterior carbon.
Early in my search I missed a couple by taking too long (8-12 hours) to go see/decide if I wanted it.
Pull the trigger right away when you see a wagon that's close to what you want.
They are amazing. This is my favorite vehicle that I've ever owned in my whole life. It does it all.
Good luck!
IMHO 2016, distronic plus with steering assist are right up there to have. The other bits like carbon you can add later if you want.
The good thing about looking for a wagon is that they were all custom ordered, meaning that someone had to go into a dealer and tell them they wanted a wagon. That means an enthusiast spec'ed it. So, you generally will find wagons have a lot of good options.
Good luck with the search, sometimes that's the most fun part!
As far as the price question, that price seems reasonable to me. The car market is falling, but wagons are so limited in numbers that you'll have a bit of protection there. Just do a proper PPI on the car and have fun with it.
It will tell you all of the option codes the car has. Then you can use your favorite search engine to figure things out if there's an option on there that doesn't immediately make sense to you.

The boutique dealer does not have the car yet. I visited today and was told that I need an appointment. However he will call me when it comes in. I used the LastVIN website to get all the build details. That's a good website. Again, thanks.

You can just go to a site like motor trend or read the brochures out there.
