FYI OverFlow Reservoir Replacement

I look at the task and bet my friend 5 minuted tops, I had my flat screwdriver and my 45 deg pliers. Than this happened. The am big fan of this style clamp over the standard hose clamps.( which I have) I walked 10 mins each direction to my friend's shop where he has has tons of these from JDM cars.
Its a MU25. My tip is since the bottle is trash, I use a hacksaw blade to cut the nipple off the tank half way and snap it off, with the bottle out of the car it was easy to remove the clamp from the hose and pull out the nipple. My five minutes took under an hr including walking time and chat session at the shop.. So if you are planning on doing this maintenance item please have a MU25 as a replacement just in-case.

Hate spring clamps, SO MUCH. I've been tempted to replace them with reusable zip ties.

But, it's mostly cause I don't have the proper tool for spring clamps and just use pliers, which don't always grab them properly

Was at a good angle for Pliers to access

I am shocked it rusted the way it did. The replacement is coated so hopefully another 70k and the new owner will be doing that replacement. The standard screw clamps put added pressure where the screw portion is loated at a flat position and can cause plastic nipples to crack.
That is the reason I went back to the OE style. If it was metal it would have been a standard clamp for sure. Been working on lots of JDM and all are spring clamps and I never had an issue using them I always try to place them on the hose to match the imprint.
