Help with a Perculiar cable
I've recently got a 2011 E63 and I'm very much enjoying it, but I was hoping someone may be able to shed some light on this curious cable I've just discovered plumbed into the driver side dashboard. My main reason for posting here was the thought it may be some type of OEM cable for dianogstic updates of some sort. I don't really think thats it, but I know there are a lot more knowledgeable people on here than me. It ends with the ethernet connector, and seems to go up and under the top part of the dashboard. I may try and remove that side cover this evening but I doubt there would be any chance that I could get under the top of the dash without damaging something.

Likely went with a radar detector or dash cam ... valentine one used to use Ethernet/phone connectors like that on their cables
check for the other end by the headliner by the rear view mirror by the windshield

oh interesting thanks. I did put my own dashcam in but I went the passenger side way to use the 12v power in the glovebox.
