Low coolant level
Noticed some coolant drops on the garage floor towards the passenger side front of the car. Also noticed their was some white residual around the reservoir cap and around it. Mechanic friend had the car jacked up for some maintenance related stuff and did not think the coolant lines were leaking
Could it just be the cap, might not have been tightly closed or might not be sealing the reservoir appropriately?
I did fill it up, cleaned the area around it and we'll see what happens?
Any suggestions?

Coolant reservoirs are a common weep culprit. Hopefully that's it..

Exhaust is normal? No white smoke?

Read a thread on here where they found a minute leak from the expansion tank. The stream of coolant shooting out was as "thin as a thread". May be look around the tank next time you park after a drive.

I've been chasing coolant leaks on my car since I got it. One was a cracked reservoir that wasn't noticeably leaking, I found the crack because of the white buildup in a line on the side of the reservoir. Another place to check is the water pump. There's a weep hole behind the pulley that will drip as the shaft seal starts to fail. That one's hard to see, but you can check it with an endoscope or by getting creative with a mirror. If it were driver side front, I'd say to check back by the heater core. I had a leak there run along the body to drip by the front corner.
