CEL (misfire Cyl 1)
So yesterday some chick in a Honda (aftermarket wing edition, two tone bubble effect window tint) was road raging....I just figured I would pull away to make a statement as an old guy in a station wagon....
Low and behold a shutter and flashing CEL. Flashing stopped, I pulled over and plugged in my computer an found there was a misfire on #1. Reset and all seems well (not had any heavy throttle since then).
I am figuring change my plugs to start...anything I may be missing? Air filters are new....no idea the age of the coils.

Plugs and coils are regular maintenance items so even if (big if) not related it's worth finding out when the last replacement was done and get it current if past the interval. Your dealer should be able to pull up service history and see if any clues.
If you continue to get misfires I'd say it becomes more likely that plugs/coils are related.

1,5,8 commonly bad coils.
is the car tuned?
what kind of gas - winter blends out there now in parts of the country ... can cause misfires
so you lost to a Honda?

what year and miles? when were plugs/coils last changed?
Your issue sounds like mine...I was randomly getting shutters/lower than normal performance...honestly not even worthy of "I think I have a misfire" at first...but then it progressively got more noticeable, but no "bucking/massive drop in performance".
I'd throw a random CEL, then nothing...all would seem fine. Finally turned into an almost complete loss of power in rush our / fast lane driving traffic and I had to scramble my way to the shoulder/exit. Ended up towing the car and replacing all plugs/coils and problem solved.
If you haven't changed plugs/coils yet, I'd do them all at once.
