You think your friend can make a bunch and we can get a group buy for them at a decent price. I know you mentioned on the video.

I found these too??

Well., thank you for pissing me off :-)

I hear that if I claim there is inflation I am racist.

that is the same as what I had paid for mine about a year ago. No, she was not offered a position in any of our facilities

The insane difference in cost between the 360mm (Stock size) and the 390mm upsized is asinine on FCP. I need brake rotors, but I just can't justify $2000+ right now. 😔

check a page called eeuroparts… $360 per rotor, for the 390mm. (The 360mm are $350) Total for front $720, (not as good as Kenny’s deal though),
for the rears they have a complete set of brembo incl. pads for $280…

Only part I bought from fcp (due to higher prices) were the 85mm M12 bolts…

let me know, if you’re in need of a set of spacers…

Can you provide direct links? Because the 390mm from there are showing as $552/each.

Thank you! Any idea why the cost is so different between these and the stock size?

And what is the the longer Porsche bolt I need for mounting these?

On the eeuroparts page, there was only a difference of $10 between 360 and 390mm. Now they are even cheaper…
kenney answered the bolt question. The bolts were only readily available at fcp.

one thing I’ve realized during the install, the original bolts have washers, not sure if these washers change ID size through the force of the M12 bolts, but I had to re-drill them with the 31/64 drill bit to be able to re-use them with the 85mm Porsche bolts… Some tough material, these washers are made of… drill bit didn’t like it :-D

Why do the OEM (360mm) front rotors you list say incompatible with my 2015 E63 S? Is it simply Brembo trying to segment things to increase costs for certain products? The ones that are listed as compatible 09976423 / 2194210212

Sadly I just discovered FCP changed their return policy a year and a half ago. I have some orders still covered under the old policy, but the new one has me absolutely turned off from buying anything expensive form them ever again with the idea of using the lifetime warranty.

Since they no longer refund your card, they give you store credit. So, you have to reorder 3 times to start actually not having to pay out of pocket.

1) $500 first purchase in your funds.

2) Reorder $500 in your funds. They put $500 in store credit on your account.

3) Reorder $500 in store credit.

Edit: to maintain the old policy exchange of refund on your card (for qualifying old orders) you must contact customer service to do it, otherwise the automatic system will do the store credit regardless.

Some playing around on Rockauto reveals that the 2204212612 part IS a 390mm 2 piece rotor (and probably the same blank) but the hat is taller and only for the 05-06 CL65 and 06 S65. That's why it's a 220 P/N. And the expense ($581.79) is just the relative rarity of the hat.

The 2304211212 P/N has the wide compatibility and a shorter hat. Rockauto price is $369.79.

We're sure the 230 (SL) P/N fits our W212s?

with the 15mm spacers absolutely sure! You can see it in my pictures, it shows the 230 390 on the new rotor next to the caliper.

my first set lasted me 38k miles, there was even another .9mm of rotor thickness left… I guess probably another 5k miles theoretical life left… questionable if you’d even get to 80-90k miles on this car, to make use of the “maybe” fcp lifetime warranty…
maybe these 390mm will last even longer, due to having more surface…

it's the 2nd order that you get your refund back but yah I did notice the store credit thing on bunch of other stuff I send back so I have a 300 dollars credit chillin on there.. so you have to call them to get them refunded instead of store credit??

you don't have to get the whole use of them in this case. If you see them they are getting crappy you can order and send them back. I wouldnt wait 40k miles lol

Yes, if you have an order that falls in the REFUND to your card timeframe. Any orde replaced after that no longer qualifies for that Warranty method.

And yes, they give you the money in your second order. But the problem is that you have to order before they do their "refund" for the warranty. Which used to be fine because you actually got a refund to your card/purchase method. Now you have to order that second order with your money still and then they give you the "refund" in store credit. Thus you are still out of your funds until your third reorder when you can finally start using the store credit. But even then, you will only then have store credit being stored. And who wants to potentially be waiting around with let's say $1400 in store credit INSTEAD of actual money while you are waiting to do your next brake job.

This scheme is still great for items that are frequently changed and not TOO costly like fluids, filters, wiper blades, brake pads, cleaning supplies, etc. but for big ticket items that are change infrequently or only when they unexpectedly fail... Not so much.

That might also depend on what state you are in as a consumer. In some places they are required to offer the option of a refund as opposed to a credit assuming a tangible item is returned to the vendor...meaning, that if there is a fee for labor or intellectual property it is a hard nut to crack...
