Oil filters FYI... MANN vs HENGST VS MB 2781800009
Was doing an w213 e63 oil change DIY video and just happened to have a MANN, HENGST and an OEM a2781800009 oil filter for inspection. I kinda figured this, but now confirmed... they are all identical.
ALSO the m177 and m157 use the same filter. So if you were waiting to buy a w213 e63 cuz you have a bunch of 212 filter to use first... no need to wait lol.
The $12-$17 MANN HU 6008 says right on the box that its a hengst e155h d122
The $22-$32MB a2781800009 says right on the filter is made by hengst
and the $11-13 Hengst is, well a hengst.
They have the same amount of pleats, same material, made in germany, everything is the same same same...
even if they are identical that does not mean they have same specs, i think when MB order from Hengst or other manufacture they force them to use MB specs, maybe, so i always use MB oil filters on AMG cars.
