Exhaust valve Recall/Extended warranty
Question,
My dealer had told me they will not fix the exhaust valve unless it triggered an CEL. Does this sound right? I’d have to wait til it fails..? Seemed a bit odd. I’d appreciate your two cents.
ps. The extended warranty on rear subframe rust. Dealer also informed me since there are no rust, they aren’t replacing the subframe. Is it perhaps similar idea/perspective?

I got the same verbiage from dealer about both issues as well. $0.02

I have not heard of the exhaust valve recall. I'll have to check mine out in more detail next time I have the chance. Thanks for the head's up.
On the subframe - no rust right now might not be a bad thing. (1) shows the car is treated well, or at the least driven in good conditions. (2) - if not now, you may get to take advantage of the extended warranty later on. Personally, I'm hoping to get mine done as close to the end of the warranty period as possible so that the new one lasts as long as possible. (My subframe is in good shape right now)
