Seat Swapping...me and my ideas.....
I get constant complains from a sometimes driver that when ever she (yes, she identifies as a she, and has she parts).....but anyway....she does not like that the passenger seat does not have massage and side bolster support (as our GLS580 has).....
So...say I order this... and take just the driver seat and bolt it into the left side of the car......hmmmmmmmm......might be a neat mod. But, the seat belt? Surely there is not a separate frame for the US (right) seat from the EU (left) seat...or is there?

How would the cls63 drivers seat that you put in your front passenger spot communicate with the SAM or whatever module to receive data about the cars situation - attitude, yaw, tilt, momentum, steering angle etc - to make adjustments to the airbag bolsters?
you would need to replicate the e63 drivers seat data signals to send to this new seat, and unclear if there is a bidirectional information exchange between seat and SAM such that you have to consider the return data.
then there is the passenger seat airbag issue - seat sensor to turn off airbag.
the seat belt is likely your easiest issue to resolve.
it was definitely a miss in this car that the passenger didn't receive the same features as the driver.

I would have to think that the airbag control would be the same as both seats have airbags on both sides of the pond. The cornering....yeah, did not think of that...BUT...that connector has to be on the right side of the car for the Euro cars...maybe it sends signals to both and does not care what side of the car the recipient controller is on...heck if I know.
Would be a neat mod if it can be done for just the cost of a seat (that does not seem to be so outlandish of a cost).
