190E 2.5-16 EVO II questions
Hello- I realize I am in the wrong forum but hoping someone can be of assistance with this information. I have recently purchased a 190E 2.5-16 EVO II with only 2,800 km. The car is in fantastic condition, certainly one of the very finest remaining examples. My problem is the dust cover boots and bump stops for the rear shock absorbers have deteriorated. The shocks seem to be operating fine. Does anyone know where I can purchase these? Or if not available something extremely similar that I can substitute? Or 2 correct replacement rear shocks? Congrats on the purchase. A quick google search revealed a plethora of options for both parts. I imagine part of your concern is keeping the most originality possible. However, once cars hit a certain age, depending on the car and how it's used it becomes a game of "how period correct" can I keep it.
Soft parts like that, your only options are finding that one random guy who hoarded every oem random part available on those cars, or look to the aftermarket options available. Plenty of the later, and they'll look and work correctly. I say go that route, find ones in the color you like best, and call it a day.

whats the part number, id assume there should be some cross coverage with other models for such
or call the patina collective they have like a few of these cars and are hoarding parts maybe theycan help.
