Hey everyone, after receiving and servicing my new to me 2014 e63 S model, I saw that the resonator was deleted with 2 straight pipes. Now from what I have read, this is the best mod for turbo cars as it reduces back pressure and increased that amg bark. The car does sound awesome but I am wondering if I swap it with a H pipe for example will I pick up any HP/tq? I have nothing to compare it to as I’ve never had a stock resonator and it seems everyone either does Straights or H. The car is bone stock otherwise and I am keeping it that way for warranty purposes

Any hp you pick up with just exhaust work without a tune will net neglible butt dyno and empiric dragy results.

10-15 hp doesn't mean much if anything on a base bhp of 600hp

thanks for the thread! I like the way it sounds now just want some more grunt, have thought about downpipes no tune as well but scared to void my expensive warranty lol

 

do not void your warranty. This is a wise decision
