Hello all Been a lurker on this site and have learned some valuable information on our beloved E63’s. I’ve owned my 2016 sedan since 2018 I purchased as a certified pre-owned ffrom DT Mercedes Benz in Los Angeles and have had (for the most part) a trouble free experience with this beast. Due to not being driven much over the past several years, the battery completely died. Brought in for a replacement and A service. I was hit with a series of action items with a whopping price tag of 12k 6k for fixing/sealing the front differential and another 6k for resealing the front cylinder head covers. My vehicle has less than 50k miles and needless to say, I was dumbfounded by the estimate
Does anyone know of a reputable independent shop that can make these repairs, and are these issues common with a sub 50k mile vehicle?
My apologies for the long winded thread, but any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated!
