Hey everyone, I’ve been searching the forums and YouTube with not much luck on the topic stated in the title. Does anyone here have exhaust cut outs with res delete, currently I have res delete only and it sounds decent I’d just like the option to go loud or tame. Car is bone stock otherwise and I’d like to keep it that way so I’m pretty limited with options!

This is the route I originally wanted to go but decided against it. I was advised that many of the electric cutouts will fail... and it does not take long. Now, this might change depending on how much $$$ you are willing to spend on each cutout. One thing I have noticed about these cars is that the resonator delete alone does not do much at all for sound; it is the muffler delete that brings volume.
Recently, I had my mufflers and resonators replaced with straight pipes. Personally, I hated the sound of the resonator delete being replaced with straight pipes as it sounded like a RASPY open header V8 truck... just sounded so bad for how classy this car is, but the turbo sound was nice and loud. So, a few days later I went and had them put an X-pipe in place of the straight pipes. It was WAYYYYYYY better sounding after that but you do lose a tiny little volume of the turbos.
I will have to provide an update this weekend because my catless downpipes just came in today and I will be installing them on Friday. THIS should be a big change in volume, especially the turbos whistling through the exhaust.
With all that said, the muffler delete and resonator turned X-pipe is a nice mod that is not crazy loud at all. You will only hear volume on cold starts and when you are wide open throttle. Cruising on the street, easy on the throttle, you'd never know the exhaust was modded. Oh, and there is no drone at all at any RPM or speed.

No power loss as far as I am aware with my current setup. It feels stock to me. A lot of forums say that having straight pipes will kill some torque and an x-pipe will increase it, but I have not noticed any power gains or torque gains from the x-pipe. Maybe this is only in my head, but I felt like I lost some power and torque after adding straight pipes. I had no way to benchmark this and I only had the pipes for a few days until my X-pipe was added.
Update on the catless downpipes: shipping has been delayed and they should arrive on August 10th.
