Brake Click with new Brembo Kit
I had new front and rear Brembo rotors and pads installed a couple days ago on my 2012 E63 wagon, and I'm getting a clicking/clacking noise from (I believe) the front brakes that only seems to occur on the first use of the brakes after going from reverse to drive.
Example: I am parked, put car in reverse to back out of my driveway and with the first brake press, the click sound happens. Then, after shifting from reverse to drive, the first press of the brakes again makes the click sound.
The noise doesn't seem to return while staying in drive and using the brakes repeatedly, and the brakes perform as they should.
I spoke with my service advisor at Mercedes Myrtle Beach, and he let me know non-OE pads sometimes do this, and that it's normal. I only bought the Brembo pads because they came in a kit with the rotors. Had I known that, I probably would have stayed with OE pads.
Is my advisor accurate with this explanation, and if so, can anything be done to remedy this nuisance? Part numbers are attached in photos.
Thank you in advance for any assistance or experience!

also reported by several e63 owners after similar brake jobs etc even with OEM gear
you can get brake shims for some pads but not sure if they exist for the Brembos.
Google "brake pad shift" to learn more about it - always worth a tech inspection to make sure nothing more nefarious but otherwise normal
