Comfort mode will run only 4cylinders…?
I was watching a m157 engine documentary, in it there were mentions of engine running on 4cyl during comfort mode.
”Activating driver mode C will deactivate cylinder 2,3,5,8”.
fair to assume driving modes can contribute to our infamous cylinder 5 scoring? Can driving on Comfort prolong the life of engine..? Hmm

The M157 doesn't have cylinder deactivation. The M152 does, which is based on the M157. Also, it's not that 4 cylinders are just turned off in Comfort mode. This only happens under partial load at constant cruising speed. 4-cylinders are shut-off to save fuel.
