Command pin number Issue
I'm looking to get the Pin number to the command unit I purchased off of Ebay. The vin number for the unit I purchased is WDDHH8JB3EA781503, but the issue I'm running into is all of the dealers I speak with are unwilling to give me the pin to unlock it. I do most of the work to my cars myself, so I don't have a real relationship with any dealers. Any help from any techs or if someone knows a dealer that would be willing to help me out, let me know.

@BenzNinja can probably help you out. He was able to get my PIN when somehow the security on my COMAND got corrupted.

Unfortunately not. They only record the Vin number associated with the part. Think I may start calling around to different dealers.

According to Peter (BenzNinja), the PIN has nothing to do with the VIN of the donor car. It works by serial number. The serial number of the unit will be used to generate the PIN code. But if the head unit is reported stolen, there will be no code.

For the VIN posted, the Radio should have Serial number ME6950D2211388
And if this is your Radio, then the PIN is: Z3CPK8BHT4HIWM5671LITZDUO
The PIN can be retrieved with the help of the VIN, if the Radio installed on that specific VIN was originally from factory or was installed/retrofitted under correct procedures.
