WIS help
Hi guys, I jumped into a repair and unfortunately my version of Wis was not working today. Can anybody provide me with the location of the illuminated sill that inverter for a 2013 E 63 station wagon?
my driver side illuminated sill was a little bit dim, and I finally found myself an inverter, and when I dug into where the typical locations are, nothing to be found.
it’s not up in the front kick panels or under the front carpet…
i’ve dug deep and can’t keep digging without some sort of direction. The wiring tunnels in this car are some of the worst I’ve ever seen. And this is coming from someone who has repaired lots of 40 year-old pinball machines with 50 different techs inside.
Star finder was also no help.

Sorry, but WIS and EPC are no help. You know how incomplete they are when you are trying to find something.

We can close this out for now. I was able to check all the wiring and I think its the actual sill, not the inverter. OF course the internet said the opposite....
Places I can say the inverter is not: Driver or passenger kick panel, driver or passenger wiring tunnel (where the sill connects), The driver wire leads under the seat and across. Its not in the rear middle or driver side rear. Its also not in the wiring tunnels in the rear sills..
Wires are Yellow with red (passenger), and Yellow with white (driver).
What a ginormous pain. I was thinking the hard part was locating an inexpensive inverter.
