Turbo intercooler coolant reservoir cap
I’ve tried to add coolant to the turbo coolant reservoir. But unlike the expansion tank cap this particular cap seems like it’s difficult to take off.
I’ve tried numerous times with much force but the cap won’t open due to the locking mechanicm on the cap and the tank’s groove.
how do you guys open this thing?

Do what Baltistyle said....then, replace it...DO NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT get one on Amazon or some cheap website as it is a pressure regulator cap and you do not want some knock off.

Both caps are brand new off if fcpeuro.
I’d never consider knock off.
It always seems like the small coolant tank resevoir always give me a hard time to cap off unlike the expansion tank, it comes off without an effort.
there is no child locking alike mechanism on the expansion tank but the smaller coolant tank indeed does and that’s where it’s getting stuck from.

ah, new caps. push down a tiny bit. Ive never had that issue and just replaced my caps not that long ago. The intercooler cap is always tighter compression on the seal.
