RWD Coilover conversion
I have a 2009 E63, RWD - So steel up front, air out back. One of my front shocks has started leaking, not long before it's fully dead. At the same time I've put new wheels on my car and want to lower the stance, so thought why not convert the front end to adjustable coilovers which are considerably cheaper than two new OEM shocks + fixed lowering springs. Not interested in removing the rear airbas as of yet.
Looking at the KW V2 kit atm, and I know when I replace the shocks I'll get an error code for the front ADS as it will be disconnected. What I can't figure out is will it need an EDC delete kit? There's not much out there info wise, what I have read are a few different things, that the T/C & ABS is affected, that the EDC delete kits dont work and system still faults (on an airmatic to coilover conversion so likely a bigger issue). If T/C and ABS will be affected then I'll get the EDC kit, but then will installing two of the four plugs be fine? I can live with a light on the dash if nothing else will be affected.
Cheers!
