Screen upgrade

I’ve had my E 63S since new. I tend to hold onto cars if I like them. I purchased a seven year 135K mile extended warranty. My feeling was to trade it in after the warranty was up. However, knock on wood, I really haven’t had many issues and I still love the car. Recently, I decided to spend 11,000 to replace front and rear suspension, figuring these were wear items. My only real issue with the car was the dated infotainment. After using CarPlay on other cars, pretty hard to use my phone in a phone holder for Waze.

Finally decided to upgrade the screen. Sound quality for me was nonnegotiable. After all the research, I found that the Linux screens retained the OEM Bluetooth sound. All of the android systems required you to use the AUX system for sound which hasn’t gotten good reviews.

Decided on a Road Top 10” screen. Thought the 12 inch screen was much too big. Just installed it. Was really very easy. Very happy with it. The sound is unchanged. From my standpoint, car is no longer dated. I highly recommend it.

Looks great. Can you post a shot from the side and one showing the frontside?

Link?

Does it support Android Auto?

Plug and play?

This upgrade (or similar) is on my radar.

Got it from roadtop.com.

Supports android auto. It’s a Linux system, so basically uses your phone’s apps. Doesn’t have any native apps like an android system. I wasn’t interested in anything but CarPlay.

Very happy with it. Makes it like a new car for me. I like the analog gauges and HVAC controls, so I feel like I get the best of both worlds. Also helps a little with the backup camera. The screen is a few inches closer, so the image is easier to see. Unfortunately, the resolution isn’t much better, probably a result of the dated camera.

I’ll be getting the same setup for my M6.

I did the 12.3", 4 years ago. Still working fine. They even offer 14.9" for a while now.

I did an update with my 2014 with this:
https://sigmacarstereo.com/mercedes-...arplay?search=

I've been pretty happy with it, but the bezel has never properly seated. What's the link to yours? I wasn't able to find a 14.9 like you mention... do you have a link for that?
