Just ordered an E63s!

This is my first post on the forums, but have been a reader for a few months now. Me and my father just ordered a E63s through an allocation. We were allowed to change it and whatnot. Very Excited in fact! Have put over 8000 miles on our C63s and absolutely love the car, can only imagine how much of a beast the E63s will be! Ours will be coming in Cardinal Red with a black nappa interior. Decided to go with the wood trim with the flowing lines. PP3 and a few other things here and there. I'll post pictures soon as we take delivery, but around what time should I expect the car to arrive? It will be built sometime during the first week of January. Apart from that, what is everyone else's opinion over the car who has recently got one?

Congrats, I'd think if it is built on schedule you should have the car around the Second week in Feb. Red is a nice color, my wagon is the Cardinal Red, looks great. I do think if I had to do it again though I'd get the night package. I guess eventually I'll have a custom shop start blacking out some of the trim on the car. Is that the magnolia with the flowing lines your ordering or the black ash with the flowing lines? I've got the Magnolia in my car along with the nut brown interior. Super happy with it.

Thank you, I can't wait to see the car in person. I did get the Night package, and I wanted the black cross forged wheels but apparently I was too late to make the change. Which is fine I can settle on the twin 5 spokes. The trims exact name was Black Piano Lacquer Wood Trim w/ Flowing Lines. I know i shouldn't expect the car to be cloud soft in comfort mode, but what's your opinion on the ride quality while in comfort mode?

After reading some reviews on the car I was prepared for the ride to be somewhat harsh.

On the streets of Germany it was not bad at all.

You could tell an immediate difference when we crossed into France. The quality of their roads were not as good - at least in the portion where I drove.

Had to do the first 1500 km in comfort mode per the break-in instructions, but when that was done and I switched to Sport+, it still didn’t seem that harsh to me.

Guess I will find out how it does on US roads in a month or so.

Yes, it really depends on the roads, here in Florida where the roads are smooth the car is fine, but in New England where I only drove the car a couple days you could really feel the bumps but that is to be expected with the low profile tires and 20 inch rims. I'd say it rides about the same as my old 2012 E63 AMG Wagon which is not horrible bad but you can feel the bumps for sure.

See I dont mind the ride being harsh, so I'm kinda already prepared for it if that's the case. The C63s in my opinion is a harsh riding car regardless of the mode you have it in, so I just ended keeping it in the stiffest mode whenever I have it in Sport+, which is like 95% of the time. As long as the E63s is softer then the C63s I'll be content. I also hope I get mine shipped with Michelin PS4S tires and not P Zero's even though I think the Pirelli's are fine, but the 4S tires are much better based off reviews

Yep, that's where I was at too before my order came in, hoping and praying it had the PS4S tires and my wish came true. Ya, you and your Dad are gonna love this car. I would think it does ride a bit better than the C63, it's a larger more heavy car.
