As far back as I can remember on my prior and current AMGs- there is a light sensor (where the red arrow points) that I would block off with a small round electrical piece of tape. I did this because my rear window(s) are tinted and when the rear view mirror adjusted for lighting it was too dark. Now on this E63S I dont know where the sensor is; anyone here know by chance?
Take a flashlight. Shine on the mirror You will see 2 sensors (they are well hidden behind the glass) , one at the middle top and one at the middle bottom.

Thanks Bobble- its funny that on my other cars I could see the sensor rather easily on the glass (top middle) but not on this one.
